Volunteers and their PAT accredited dogs can visit almost all parts of the hospital including wards and clinics as well as staff areas. Visits may occur either with the direct involvement of staff or simply by introducing yourself and your dog to individuals.
PAT dog Volunteers need to first have their dogs assessed and accredited by Pets as Therapy before applying to the Hospital to visit as a Volunteer (see https://petsastherapy.org/join-us/join-pat-dog/ for more details). Dogs will need to be at least nine months old and the owners must have had them for at least six months.
